September, Life Lesson 29

For all the ideas, plans, and goals we make, time can be our greatest asset. 🕛

Time moves forward no matter what we choose to do. 

If we decide to discipline ourselves to manage time properly or be idle with it. 

I've been on both sides of the fence. Managed properly and sat idle. 😒

Trust me...it ALWAYS feel better on the side of proper discipline and management. 

If you find yourself leaning toward the side of idleness, more often. Search yourself as to why. 

One of my first steps was always to check my health. Without proper nutrients your energy wanes, quickly. 

Check your mental status.

Check your spiritual status. 

Check your atmosphere in your home. 

So many factors can play a part in pushing you or slowing you down. Without leaning on excuses...keep that mentality in check. 

We're more limitless than we realize. Always remember we can keep moving and complete, regardless. 

September, Life Lesson 28

What we desire from this life may not always be what we get in this life. 

So we control what we can to keep love, peace and security for our family. 🏵️

September, Life Lesson 27

Development never stops.

Part of developing is doing self examination. Acknowledging that you did a great job in some areas. Acknowledging that you're not where you thought you were in others. 

Many people perform well under pressure. They produce results in their life and in whatever field they are in. Sometimes, we confuse that our fire is burning high because we're able to produce, despite of. 

Despite our emptiness.

Despite the dark feeling of depression.

Despite deep feelings of disappointment because yet again we've let time pass us by without accomplishing what we set out to do.

Despite trying to press forward after failed relationship after failed relationship.

Despite the "faking it til we make it", that we've turned "it" into a whole new identity. 

An identity never designed by God. 

Closer we are to the presence of God the more his light will highlight what needs to be tossed, what needs work, what needs healing, what to keep and what we need to feed ourselves (The Word) so that a pure fire not only burns bright but burns high, always.

September, Life Lesson 26

It is okay to simultaneously acknowledge that you are in the best place in your life AND also know that there is MORE!!!

More to unlearn.

More to learn.

More to see. (There's an entire 🌍 outside of America. Heck, outside your state.)  

More to develop for the better. 

More to complete. 

More to connect with. 

More to build. 

More to multiply. 

There is always more. Life is a gift. Don't toss it aside. Don't set it in on shelf and collect dust. 💝

September, (birthday) Life Lesson 25

Another year around the sun. 🌄

With ensuring our relationships are priority. Make sure your family LIVE. Make sure your family is healed and whole. 

Get rid of living life going through the motions, faking it for the public and miserable behind closed doors. 

I've lived that life before. It's miserable and empty. I had to take my health; spiritual, emotional and mental in my hands because my happiness was not dependent on anybody else.

Married again, even my husband is not responsible for my happiness but I am grateful that he loves to make me happy. 💝💝💝

Development never stops. You gather to you, who you are, for real. 

I AM loved. I AM favored. I AM free. 

Say it and believe it: 

LIVE, LIVE, LIVE, you/I will LIVE!

September, Life Lesson 24

We are periodically tested. When we're faced with something that we can't doing anything about, it doesn't mean we are powerless. 

How we yield that power will be the measure of where we really are. 

Yesterday, when I couldn't see a relative in the hospital because the "rules" said no alternate visitors. Since they had only one visitor already I couldn't enter. 

My mind was reeling. This is dumb. 

I was hot! There's got to be another way. Some rules are meant to be broken, right? 😂 

I could've went off. I don't cuss but there's things that happens that will try to awaken that old man. 😒

I thought, the "rule" is in place because somebody with control deemed it necessary. Some, will say it's for our "safety". I have found over the years that there's laws, rules and mandates that logically, make no sense at all. Money, power and control seems to be the root of most. 

Anyhow, I walked away, made a phone call to a couple of family members and vented. Ultimately, I can do what I can do. Write to who I need that can make the changes, and pray. 

Pray for the families that have had loss over the last, going on 2 years, and was not able to see their family members a final time. 💙

September, Life Lesson 23

 Many people have been enduring through much over the years. Especially, within the last couple of years. God desires us to thrive. Thrive, despite of. 

Prayer is our lifeline. What many need on top of prayer, an ear to hear God's side of the conversation. Confidence to know the difference between His voice, your conscience (healthy or faulty) & the adversary to your soul/destiny. 

Prayer/Fasting and time with God covers your senses from being contaminated with the push to conform to the narrative the world gives. 

It'll keep you healthy psychologically. Healthy spirit, soul and emotions. 

We need to be stable more than ever and maintain a fight within us, like never before.

September, Life Lesson 22

Avoidances used to cover up dissatisfaction. Avoid doing what we're supposed to do. 

Avoid facing the hard stuff. 

Filling our time with:

Entertainment

Drinking

Drugs

Promiscuity

Excessive eating

The list can go on and on. 

The key is to acknowledge that is what you're doing. Than make an about face from the avoidance vice and go face that thing. Hard conversation. Challenging task. Scary decision. 

Change in discipline. Build a better work ethic. 

You got this. Never give up. Don't hesitate to ask for help! We all can use it. Even the wealthy have mentors and coaches for different areas of their life. For a reason. We only can go so far alone.

September, Life Lesson 21

Had to replace my phone, so I'm a day behind sharing my birthday lessons. 

The solution today, was to purchase a new phone. 

While I was at the store a young employee was physically frustrated. Holding their head with both hands while leaning against a display. 

Than they verbally said why they were frustrated. "Why are cars so expensive?" 

"A transmission." "They proceeded to say an amount over $1,000. 

I noticed over the course of my life the solution that would solve most people's problems, is earning enough money. 

The other problem that I noticed, what's needed to be done to produce what they need, most aren't willing to do. At least nothing different. 

It calls for a stretch. In mentality. In discipline. In work ethic. Even the bible tells us about the need for multiple streams. 

September, Life Lesson 8

Positive perspective doesn't negate or ignore the hard moments in life. It just reduces its power in your thoughts and on your heart. 

Time and season for every purpose under heaven. Is not just a song or scripture. I look at it as a prescription. Written out specifically to us. Telling us, time never stands still and neither should we. Especially during hard times. Go through it. Means you'll come out on the other side. The HOW, is up to you. You're never powerless. 

Seeing things with a pure and positive perspective ALWAYS will fare better in thought and on our body. Answers abound. As well as grace. 

September, Life Lesson 5

 In a world where the majority live to blame others and excuse themselves from all accountability of their thoughts, words and actions that lead to a less than desirable life...they choose victim mentality. Whether they admit it or not. 

That is a choice. 

We are greater than that, because we house greater. Once we acknowledge that and know...we live there. Work it out. It can be done. Otherwise, He would not have said it. 

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. 

According as is his divine power has given us all things that pertains to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue. 2 Peter 1: 2-3 KJV

September, Life Lesson 3

God will use people to assist you on your journey. The adversary of your soul will use people too, to delay and derail your life. 

Learn the difference and discern which one is which. God has given you heightened senses, so nothing escapes you. You have eyes to see and ears to hear. You house his Spirit, listen. 

Choose wisely to what and who you say yes to. Be firm. 

Work out your own salvation. Consequences of every decision, rest on you but affects many.

September, Life Lesson 20

The masses has always held out their hand and said come, join us. Even when everything within screams don't go. Some, are coerced to join in. 

A saying I heard years ago, "Don't follow after or take advice from those who you'd never trade lives with." 

People talk as if if they know the future for them and YOU. Most don't know what they're going to eat for dinner. Let alone what takes place with those under their own roof. 

Today's climate is a mess. So much so that we're reintroducing things back into society that has been fought against for generations. All stemming from fear and self preservation. 

Know your path. Know your consequences. 

Choose, wisely. Don't think about just today or tomorrow. Think about how it will apply to the next generation. That's true caring about others. 

Anything done from a spirit of fear and self preservation tends to not turn out well, in the end. 

One of my biggest sayings when people want to fight right versus wrong: 

"Time will always tell the story and truth will always find its way to the top, somehow."  

The word says it this way...

The sky and earth won't last forever, but my words will. Matt. 24:35 CEV 

September, Life Lesson 19

I had been thinking about the swift transitioning taking place within different markets, concerning digital medium. 

How things are being delivered and how we do transactions. With the quick touch of a button money is transferred, a movie can be downloaded and streamed. People build entire businesses from their phones!

I remember the first time our child forgot a document for school that I needed to sign. I received it from the teacher by email, downloaded it to my system, uploaded it to a doc signing platform and emailed it back within a matter of minutes. It has been and is happening whether we like it or not. 

Fast forward, now we have days of crypto. Digital money. People that don't mind taking risk got in on the "ground floor" of these changes and created millions of dollars. What took people 20 to 50 years to do before, is now taking people under 10. 

Crazy! Yet, doable with education and willingness to work. 

Through it all hopefully we keep our wits, compassion and morals about us. Prepare and take advantage of what we have available to learn and not be caught missing the moment. 

Some basics will never go out of style in the meantime. Gardening. Ability to filter water. Survival skills. Builders. Critical thinking. And more.

September, Life Lesson 18

Understanding that we are responsible for how our life has turned out is the first step in being powerful. 

Knowing that despite what HAS happened up until now, you acknowledge that you can choose. Choose to not to lay blame on others for the bad parts. Staying in that type of head space, is never good. It will keep you bitter. That's poisonous to your being. Acknowledge your part and relinquish your stance in staying victim. 

Focus on the good things. Build your happiness and strength from there. 

2 choices, understanding and accountability leads to a 3rd. Rise, keep growing, & moving forward. Soul, spirit and body. 

Accountability...the ability to respond appropriately to all things pertaining to your life, things and people.  

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Prov. 4: 23 

September, Life Lesson 17

Two people can communicate and be speaking the same language but if they lack understanding, it can seemingly be for nothing. 

We don't want our words to lead to frustration.

We don't want to be frustrated by words. 

We don't want to waste our words. 

There's no shortage of tools to teach us. 

Teach us the origin, meaning, how it sounds...

There's tools to teach us other languages outside of our own. Become multi-lingual. Takes practice. 

Words can breathe so much life into others, our soul and environment. 

An added caveat that helps, an appropriate tone.

Soft, sing song, loud, sharp, whisper and much more. 

Use words positively to change the mind, yours first.

September, Life Lesson 16

Early in my life when certain things would happen, I'd write them off as "just a coincidence". 

As I've gotten older I've learned that it's more than that. Nothing is by chance. 

When I'd think of someone, I'd see them. Or find out there was a need and I'd get to assist in filling it. 

When I felt like I had an idea or something that kept pressing me that I knew I had to deal with, somehow I would be introduced to someone or something I needed to help bring it to fruition. 

Never take those moments for granted.

Participate with God by finding out what you're to do with the new connection or knowledge. Find out how to put it to use. Find out how to multiply it and pass on what you've gained from the experience.

 Keep connecting the dots.

September, Life Lesson 15

While you're making sure what you do and who you connect with is in alignment with where you know you're going to be in the end, don't forget to invest in YOU. 

If you're not mentally prepared to manage the BIG vision and all that will come with it, as quick as it comes, it can go the same way. 

Some lessons, we can skip. That's what strong connections are for. God will give you a blueprint AND he will connect you to others who has knowledge. They'll be willing to share part of their blueprint, so you can miss the pits. 

ALL you have to do is get up off your do nothing and make it work. Consistent persistence. Educate yourself. Up your skills. Develop personally. Keep God first. 

September, Life Lesson 14

We are a society that even in what we feel as our most noble acts, is most times if motives examined, is self serving. 

Self preservation shows up in ways that we'd least expect. So much so, that others could pony them out if they knew we wouldn't react so badly to the notion. 

When we think of others. Have a community mindset. What I can bring to us for us. Give without expecting back? Many shudder at the thought. 

"I have to look out for me and mine." 

Doesn't take us as far as we believe. 

There truly is enough for all. If we don't hoard. 

September, Life Lesson 13

For some, it is easy to succumb to fear because it is how they've lived their entire lives. Even passed down to them. 

It causes men and women to live out a life only living the "rat race". Never building, creating or innovating. 

It causes people to skip out on seeking and learning how to having a successful marriage. 

It causes people to not want to learn how to parent better due to fear of forsaking some family "traditions" that should have been tossed, long ago. 

It causes people to be fearful of death and the next life. Because they chose not to live this one. 

It causes people to be scared to start over. 

Don't make up things that have not actually happened yet. Don't come up with whataboutisms because of one offs that happened to an uncle, cousin, sister and friend's 3rd cousin. Please, don't construct a life based on TV. That's a terrible master, too. 

The grave yard is filled with these people. 

Don't miss out on living. Don't end life in regret. 

September, Life Lesson 12

Information at our finger tips, at the click of a button. This allows for great knowledge and it opens space for deception, as well. 

We have to be careful gate keepers of our being. We give access. We engage and allow ourselves to be exposed to many environments. 

Some things we see/hear, even when we should turn our eyes away and block our ears, we don't. 

Once we're no longer under the guiding of our parents/guardians, we hold that responsibility. 

So be not swayed easily. All that glitters and shines is not gold. Especially when wrapped as a great opportunity and big money maker.

September, Life Lesson 11

That phrase, don't let them see you cry, comes in handy at times. It doesn't mean that we don't tend to our hurts, ever. 

Wonder why people are so mean. When was the last time you allowed yourself a moment to shed tears. To cleanse your soul. Of course, as I always say, don't allow yourself to live there. We must press forward. But we need a way to find release. 

A good therapist. A good cry. A good day of quiet retreat. A good journaling session. A good hour in the presence of God. 

Find your way to the light, always.

September, Life Lesson 9

Years ago I met a gentleman that just opened a sushi restaurant near my job. 

He was pleasant and would offer to let me try new types of sushi. ☺️

I asked him how long had he been working on opening the restaurant. He said, "20 years." 😳

Me: shocked look.

Him: Well, I've tried and failed many times over the years to open a successful restaurant. I've poured a lot of time and money into it. Even my parents have given their life savings. 

Me: 😳😌

Him: You see Americans will try a couple times and quit but I was taught to keep trying. So 20 years. This is my final shot, maybe, because we're out of money. He laughs and walks off. 

Me: Ate my lunch. Thought over what he shared. Paid for every free sushi he tried to give me from there on out. Left there with an eternal life lesson.

September, Life Lesson 7

In the beginning stages. The difficulty. The aches and pains. Feel like they'll never go away. Until over time, as you develop, the pain subsides. Than you feel your strength. Your muscles build, mentally/emotionally and physically. 

The unfortunate and unfair part about life. (It is what it is) 

Building takes longer than tearing down what you built. Years, months, hours, and minutes invested. Can be weakened and torn down, quickly. Overtly or covertly. By your hands and mouth, or another's.

Keep feeding, pouring and protecting what you've built. Check within and without. Discard the weeds. 

Our foundation can't be cracked and weak. 

Our systems must strong. 

Our roots must be deep.

Christians Holding up Their Gang Territory

Christians backing the red and blue political parties with the same heart as gangs...who most call thugs. 

By the way...red and blue is the blood and crips. 

Kingdom of God above political parties and human souls above things. 

Before you argue publicly with another Christian and show your bleeding unregenerate heart to them and the world, go spew your thoughts, ideologies, years of brokenness to yourself, in a mirror. 

Than when you're done, ask God to purge you from all of it and reset you by way of Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 5:17

God is the original strategist

God is a strategist 5/31/17

King David, being a man of God but also a man of war knew that in order to win any battle he had to inquire of the Lord first. 

Being both of these things brought enemies but before they would appear, David would always get warning that they were coming. King David would never fight in his own strength. He didn't rely on his past strategies or victories. He once again inquired of the Lord on what to do. The Lord gave him a strategy to implement and as long as he followed the instructions exactly as they were given, the battle would surely be won. 

King David was instructed not to move forward until he heard the sound in the tops of the mulberry trees. You've got to have an ear to hear the sound otherwise you'd move to soon or move to late. Listen for the sound (his voice, the Lord's army).

September, Life Lesson 6

Growing up feeling like the odd one. Didn't like it. Didn't want to be. No matter what group I was in, I was the socially awkward one. 🤓

It took years for me to not care. 

The more people I meet, I realize the "odd one" is all of us. 😂 Some just seem more odd than others. 

I fall into the category of the more. 🤷🏾‍♀️😂

Guess what? I love it here. We will impact the world, once we embrace who we are. 

Odd or popular. Just find your purpose and move in it. 🌍

Every year of life brings many lessons. If we're willing to be taught. 

This past year one of the biggest lessons of all. Living by faith, not fear, is not easy for many.

Surround yourself with faith walkers, even if it's just one or two. Keep developing an ear for the voice of the Spirit of God, so as to drown out the voices of the masses. And any hesitations you may have. 

...Broad is the way that leads to destruction...

There's doctors, therapist, counselors, and all else within the field of medicine to help people sustain mentally and emotionally. Some, understandably do need it. 💙 🙏🏾

We see and hear what is happening throughout this world and we must not allow ourselves to get swept up in deception, depression, and anxiety. 🆘

First, those things creep in quietly and privately 😩 but God has always given us a prescription ✍🏾 on HOW to sustain our minds and thrive during our life here and now. During WHATEVER is happening in and around our life. Seen AND unseen.

How do you know if you're needing INCREASED ⬆️ doses?

1. Your mind is rehashing over and over things that's happening and can not concentrate on pure (God's word/promises/solid truths/) things. 😫

2. You feel so heavy that it's weighing you down.😓 Spiritually, mentally and physically

Morning musings ✍🏾

Something I've thought about before over the years when "trying" to understand relationships and how it relates to "love". 🥰

When someone say they "love" you, they love you from whatever capacity they house within them.
Be it a parent, sibling(s), husband/wife, friend etc.

Capacity- the maximum amount that something can contain.

Their capacity for you may not be very high - meaning they can and will love you, only so much. However they choose to express it. You can't make them show it any different way, if they don't want to. Even after you let them know, "Hey, this is what I need."
You may require more but they are maxed out.

Their ability to grow is there but they may not know, may not care nor desire to expand.

That's that verbal or non-verbal take it or leave it mentality. Selfish, but it is what it is. 😩

When you're not receiving your fill here on earth, remember, you choose your connections (believe it or not 🤷🏾‍♀️) so redirect your disappointment toward the right person 🤦🏾‍♀️ and learn to choose better. 😊

Now take this and relate it to the capacity that God has. (She always talking about God, YEP 😁)
His capacity to love you is never maxed out. His presence houses all the love, validation, healing, acceptance, forgiveness, restoration and whatever else you're in need of. It is always available. No matter what. Find your space with him and go there when you need.

The empowering thing is, your happiness meter is not predicated on a person, but know that it is housed within. 🤗

Lust of the Flesh

A woman or man willing to sacrifice you on the altar of their lust will forever, unless repentant, return you to that same altar. No matter how bloody you become...until you're unrecognizable before the Lord.

With you being a willing participant, it's to the point that it's no longer them that's doing the sacrificing, it's you. Willfully.

How can you continue this way? You won't last like this.
As long as you feel God's heart is unsatisfied, you will be too.

God desires the best for you. He will always give you a way of escape and he will give you strength through Christ Jesus, to resist every temptation. He withholds no good thing from you. It is always worth the wait to receive the relationship that will divinely be in line for a greater future. 

God's principles never fail.
