Search me(thoroughly), O, God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts: And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me. And lead me in the everlasting way.
This was the scripture this morning during our prayer call.
There's a depth of who we are that God is shining a light on. The parts we try to cover up and hide.
The arrogant and entitled. The lying, petty, and hateful. Mean and snobbish. Full of self. Egotistical, know-it-all. The list can go on and on. The truth of who we really are. Not just the parts we let people see. The "good and nice".
This topic of conversation has been throughout this week.
Kindness, helpful, supportive, and oh so full of pride, too.
It's not "them". It's me. It's not "them" that blocks and hinders. It's me. It's not "them" that got the problem. It's me. It's not "because they don't support". It's me not doing more to reach the ones that will. It's not because my bills are always more than my money. It's because I suck at managing when I have enough. It's me. I want to do what I want instead of what I need. Until I AM in position.
It's my poor mentality. Poor sight. Poor hearing. Spiritually.
But but but...what about them and when they?!
